CAT Exam Centres 2023 – CAT Test Centres will be mentioned on candidates’ admit card. The examination conducting body assigns CAT Test centres which is nearest to the home address mentioned by the candidates so that they can reach their on time. The list of exam cities is made available along with CAT Application Form. Candidates can choose up to six cities from the list of cities. The CAT 2023 Registration Process has begun. What is a CAT Exam Centre?
The CAT Exam conducting body allots CAT Exam Centres to all the candidates applying for the exam. CAT Exam Centres are the computer which are well equipped and where the candidates will take CAT Exam 2023 on the scheduled date. There are about 400 such labs where CAT Exam is conducted every year. Last year CAT 2022 was conducted ain over 150 cities. Similarly, CAT 2021 Exam was conducted in 156 cities. For CAT 2023, there are 155 cities where the examination will take place.

CAT 2023 Exam Centre Allotment – How to Select CAT Test City?
In order to get the preferred CAT Test Centre allotted, candidates will have to choose their preferred cities while filling the CAT Application Form 2023. Candidates who successfully register themselves for the CAT Exam will be allotted CAT Test Centre as per their preference only. In CAT 2023, candidates can choose up to six cities from the dropdown in CAT 2023 Application Form.
Below mentioned are the steps to how to select preferred test city in CAT 2023 Form:
- Register yourself on CAT Official Website – iimcat.ac.in.
- Once CAT Login ID is created, fill CAT 2023 Application form.
- Go to the section ‘Select Test City’.
- Select from the dropdown up to 6 cities of your preference. Most preferred being the first and least preferred sixth.
- Fill the rest of the sections and make the payment of CAT Exam Fees.
- Click on ‘Submit’ to proceed further.
CAT Exam Centre 2023 – Important Points
- Applicants will know their allotted exam centre only after the release of CAT Admit Card 2023.
- The exact and accurate location of CAT 2023 Exam Centre will be mentioned on the admit card of CAT 2023 Exam.
- The digital version of the admit card will also consist of a Google map embedded in it to help candidates reach their test centre.
- Once the CAT Admit Card is released, candidates will not be able to change their CAT Exam Centre.
- IF candidates wish to make any changes in CAT Exam Centre, they can do so once the CAT Application Correction Window goes live.
- The examination conducting body has the full authority to cancel or change any exam centre in case of any unprecedented circumstances.
CAT Test Centre – Dos and Don’ts
Candidates willing to appear in the exam must note that each CAT Test Centre 2023 will have an elaborate identification process. Candidates will have 2 hours for this process before the commencement of the exam. If the exam starts at 9:30 AM, candidates are advised to reach their allotted exam centre at least by 7:30 AM. In short, candidates must reach their centre at least two hours prior the exam is scheduled.

CAT Dos
- Candidates must carry two copies of CAT Admit Card 2023, along with an original ID proof and a pen to the exam centre.
- Present the original print out of CAT 2023 Admit Card to enter the examination centre.
- Follow the instructions and cooperate in identification process.
- Use the reference number printed on your CAT Admit Card to locate your examination hall. Go inside and get to the seat assigned to your roll number.
CAT Don’ts
Any electronic items are prohibited at the exam centre. Closed shoes, belts, caps, jackets and other outfit and accessories that contain metal are prohibited.
- CAT Test Centre gates will close 15 minutes prior to the exam commencement.
- Unruly behaviour of any candidate will lead to the cancellation of their candidature.
- Don’t use your work station’s keyboard since it will get your system locked automatically.
