BCECE Application Procedure: A Detailed Overview

BCECE also known as Bihar Combined Entrance Examination and Bihar Common Entrance Test (CET) is a state-level entrance examination, conducted by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB). The examination is conducted to provide admissions in various engineering, agriculture and pharmacy courses offered by the colleges and institutes in the state of Bihar.

BCECE Application Procedure involves 6 simple steps but before understanding the Application Procedure, one must know the requirements for BCECE Registrations. 

Requirements for BCECE Registrations: 

  • Candidates’ email ID on which the board will be sending future correspondence. 
  • A mobile number either of candidate or family member on which the board will be sending future notifications. 
  • A scanned copy of candidates’ passport-size photograph in JPEG format with size not more than 100 KB. 
  • A scanned copy of candidates’ signature using either blue or black pen in JPEG format with size not more than 100 KB. 
  • BCECE Application Fee is paid through online mode, so, the candidate must have an online payment facility i.e. Net Banking/ Credit Card/ ATM-cum-Debit Card. 

BCECE Step-by-step Application Procedure:

BCECE Application Process involves the following steps: 
Step 1: Online Registration 
Step 2: Providing Personal Information
Step 3: Uploading Images
Step 4: Providing Education Information
Step 5: Checking the Preview
Step 6: Payment of Application Fee

Step 1: Online Registration

  • Visit the official website of BCECE at bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. 
  • Click on “Apply for BCECE 2019” link available on the homepage.
  • A new page will appear, click on “New Registration” link to open the Registration Page. 
  • Once the Registration Page opens, select the course group and provide basic information including Name of the Candidate, Date of Birth, Domicile Status, Reservation Category, Quota, Mobile Number, E-mail ID, Password, Answer the security question and set security password which shall be followed by entering the captcha text. 
  • After providing the mentioned details, click on the “Sign Up” button. 
  • The candidate will receive an “Activation Code” on their register e-mail ID and mobile number.
  • The candidate is required to click on the “Activate your Account” link and provide the activation code. 

Step 2: Providing Personal Information

Once the account is activated, the candidate is required to provide personal information which includes the following:
  • Fathers’ Name
  • Mothers’ Name
  • Identification Mark
  • Gender
  • Mentioning whether Fathers’ income is less than INR 4.5 Lakhs
  • Permanent Address and District

Step 3: Uploading Images

The candidate is required to upload the scanned image of their passport size photograph and signature according to the above-mentioned size and format. After uploading the images, the candidate must move to the next step. 

Step 4: Providing Education Information

The candidates are required to provide their educational information which includes the following:
  • Details about Class X such as Name of School, Board, Year of Passing the examination and Percentage obtained. 
  • Details about Class XII such as Name of School, Board, Year of Passing the examination and Percentage obtained.

Step 5: Checking the Preview

Once the above-mentioned steps are pursued, the candidate is required to check the details mentioned in the application form. In case of mistakes, the candidate can edit the details by using the “Edit” option available on the screen. After updating the details, the candidate must click on the “Update” button in order to save the edited information and proceed further. 

Step 6: Payment of Application Fee

The last step is to pay the BCECE application fees which can be paid through online as well as offline mode. Online modes include Net Banking/ Credit Card/ ATM-cum-Debit Card whereas the offline mode includes NEFT Bank Challan. Below are details about BCECE 2019 Application Fees:

Once the Application Process is complete the candidate must download the Application Form and take a print out for further references.
