Prior to 2016, each state in India had its own admission test. Many private colleges have their own entrance exams as ell.

  • NEET - for admission to all private and government medical institutes in India for MBBS.
  • JIPMER - Only for admission to JIPMER, Pondicherry.
  • AIIMS - Only for admission to AIIMS Delhi.

Prior to 2016, each state in India had its own admission test. Many private colleges have their own entrance exams as ell.

Following the Supreme Court's ruling, a single admission test, NEET, was created to replace all of these entrance examinations. You may apply for admission to practically all medical institutions in India using this method.

Currently, JIPMER Pondicherry and AIIMS Delhi have the authority to hold their own entrance exams in addition to the NEET.There are just three entrance tests in India for MBBS admission.More than 15 lakh candidates take the NEET entrance test for MBBS admission each year.It is critical to perform well on this admission exam.Following the NEET test, the results are issued, along with a cut off point over which only candidates can be admitted to the MBBS or BDS programme.

The NEET test has a total score of 700, and if a student scores over 400, he may expect to get into a reputable college. For Admission into Government Colleges one must score very well in NEET.
