Tier 1 Preliminary Examination
- Mode: Online (Computer Test)
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Type of Questions: Multiple-Choice Questions
- Sections: General Intelligence, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension.
- Marking Scheme: +2 for each correct answer and -0.50 for each incorrect answer
- Result: Candidates who clear the cut-off move to Tier
Tier 2: Main Examination
- Mode: Online (Computer-based test)
- Duration: 120 minutes for each paper.
- Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
- Sections: Paper I - Quantitative Abilities and Paper II – English Language & comprehension.
- Marking Scheme: +2 for the correct answer -0.25 for each incorrect answer (Paper I) and -0.50 for each incorrect answer (Paper II).
- Result: Candidates who clear the cut-off move to Tier 3.
Tier 3: Descriptive Paper
- Mode: Offline (Pen and Paper mode)
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Types of Questions: Descriptive (Essay writing, Letter/Application writing, etc).
- Sections: Descriptive Writing
- Marking Scheme: Subjective Evaluation
- Result: Qualifying in nature; marks obtained in Tier 3 are not added to the final score but need to pass for consideration to Tier 4.
Tier 4: Skill Test/ Computer Proficiency Test
- Mode: Depends on the position
- Skill Test: Typing/ Data entry on a computer (for certain positions)
- Computer Proficiency Test: Testing proficiency in computer applications (certain positions)

- Result: Qualifying in nature, only needs to be passed, and marks obtained are not added to the final score.
